Lucia is originally from County Derry. She was a member of the Belfast Harp Orchestra and was involved in a recording for the Sydney Youth Theatre in Australia, RTE Radio 1, BBC Television and Radio.

She also performed with The Chieftains through her studies at the Irish World Music Academy in the University of Limerick, and was a Harpist at Bunratty Castle.
